What are halogen headlights?
Halogen bulbs are based on essentially the same technology as traditional incandescent bulbs, which have a filament that produces light.
The lamp contains a small amount of halogen gas, which helps keep the glass clear and enables more efficient operation than a standard incandescent lamp.
Halogen lamps are often compact and provide precisely focused light, which is why they are widely used in headlights for cars and other vehicles.
The light is warm white—whiter than a regular incandescent bulb, but warmer than many LED bulbs—and at the same wattage, halogen produces less light than newer LED technology.
